The smart car is coming to the US. A car dealership had a smart car in the 4th of July parade and was selling it for $25,000. In Europe they are affordable. This prices doesn't seem to justify anything of the car except the image of driving the US's smallest car. It won't save you money with its price tag.
I have never tried it, so I am not sure if the whole car will fit into the lines of a kerb-side parking bay. I know that it is illegal to park your Smart sideways in Munich, I was wondering if there are any such rules for London. Let me make it clear; I am asking for fact not opinion. A smart car is the same length as the width of most vans so I was just wondering. I tried it today, parked behind a van, it was shorter than the van. I know the legal limit for any car is 3 ft from the kerb.
I am considering purchasing a smart car for my daughters first car. But was just wondering if i could take it down to the local smart garage and ask for air con. Is this possible? I know it was an optional extra on this model. I would consider getting one with air con, but this one runs on LPG and she is at uni so she needs to save her pennies. All answers greatly welcome, cheers
Just looking into the upcoming release of the SMART car into the USA market in 2008. Since there are airbags all over the place in the car - what will happen if people have small kids who need to use a car seat? I looked on the website - and there is no information listed regarding child seats.
